Placenaming is possibly the hardest part of any branding procedure. At the same time it’s probably one of the most important to get right!

The right name is critical as it defines the whole development, it’s often the first introduction for any audience and can leave a lasting memory!

  • Does it capture the heritage of the building if being repurposed?

The search for, registration and purchase of any names also need to be questioned;

  • Will the name be available to purchase as a web domain?
  • Are the same social handles available across all required social media platforms?

The process of identifying viable place names should consider all the above questions. Having examined the pros and cons of each option and deciding which one aligns the space best you’ll create a strong framework for the brand concept to prosper.

It could open the door for some unusual and interesting ideas that sets it apart from competing schemes with the added confidence that it’s also the right choice for your development!
